Challenge 45 - Christmas in August

Howdy there peeps! Well what a week its been! What with fairly appalling weather, manically busy and then my baby girl Harry being hospital all week! Well I've not known if I was coming or going. The coming and going being the 120 mile round trips to the vets mainly. Yes folks that's right 1 2 0 miles! Why I can hear some of you say, well with Harry being a parrot and regular vets know nothing about them. Only the best for my girl.. Hence the trip. She's back home now and is getting better.

So thanks to all you stars who came to play last week - gee I'm so funny! Humorous and not odd.... well not too odd ;)) Just a bit odd.... but hey what's a bit of oddness between friends? So what's this weeks challenge I hear you cry.... louder I can't hear you! Well the weather here has turned decidedly chilly and they reckon snow is due in September! Have we moved into the Arctic Circle or what?? So I thought we'd better start thinking of Christmas. Now I sell a fair few cards and they're done and dusted mostly. However most of the ones I send are VERY last minute the glue is only just dry on them. I know that will be a surprise to everyone.... OK perhaps not to those who know me ;))

Challenge 44 - Star!

Howdy peeps!

Oh wow I think summer has well and truly disappeared! The last couple of mornings have had a ~gulps~ autumnal feel to them! I mean come on its August its SUPPOSED TO BE SUMMER!!! Shouldn't it be hot? Or are those just the summers of my childhood? We have had some awful rain and high winds too.... just the snow to come in September them.... which the forecasters say might well happen! Cripes best dig those sweaters out then. Oh and the snowshoes too. I can't wait.... Oh hang on I can wait! Keep the snow.

Challenge 43 - Aqua

Howdy there peeperoos! Oh my I think summer is definitely over! The weather here is just.... well .... awful sums it up perfectly I reckon. This morning had a hint of autumn in the air! I mean come on please a bit more summer!

I'm guessing lots of you lucky folks are on your holidays - I hope you've got some lovely sun. I fired up the RPT and he picked Hazel as last weeks winner of the Joanna Sheen voucher.

So this week our theme is fairly topical..... its AQUA! hehehe! At the moment its throwing it down with rain I love the irony of it.... aqua of course is water! So aqua it is. Now this can either be aqua coloured or you can have some aqua, water on your submissions. New work only please though. Challenge 42 - sketch

Wow challenge 42 already! My where does the time go to? I wish I knew I'd try and sneak some back! I mean how can it be August already for goodness sakes?? You certainly wouldn't think it was judging on the weather. Today has been quite chilly. I wondered at people out and about in their coats. Once I'd gone outside myself I wished I had mine! Oh and it rained on St Swithins Day too....its been fairly constant since too. The only thing I can say about that is that now our grass is green instead of brown. On the minus side its growing and needs mowing!

Anyway enough of my moaning ;)) I'll have you asleep before you know it. That would be no good you'd miss the fabby cards the Gorjussettes have made for you. Challenge 41 - Baby baby!

Hiya!

Well what a miserable lot of weather! I guess there must be some truth in what they say when it rains on St Swithins day then eh? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come back summer - I miss you! ;)) I mean summer is supposed to be... well summery isn't it? I mean having to go in long trousers isn't on! Its July!

Oh thanks for all your good wishes about my Harry, she's now back home and my purse is much much lighter! Just as pay back she's now Bitey Britches formally known as her Ladyship Harry! So what with her and her Highness Princess Nippy Knickers yours truly is well under attack!

Still looking at all your lovely entries last week cheered me up no end! Gosh you are clever. I really love to see how you interpret the themes I choose. Its really lovely to see what you come up with. Thanks very much for sharing them with us, I know the Gorjussettes enjoy looking too.

Challenge 40 - Congratulations!

Howdy there peeps!

What a mixture we've had this week! Sun rain, wind, snow.... only kidding about the snow. But its the only weather we haven't had I think. I hope its been better with you.

I've had a rotten evening - I've had to take my lovely Harry to the vet! Poor baby had had to stay in hospital too - can you send her some love?

So a big thank you to everyone who came to play last week - you are a talented bunch! More lovely ideas, thank you. Challenge 39 - Thinking of you

Hi there reader! OK come on confess who stole summer? Come on someone has! Oh and just to make matters worse, as if that could happen with rain/thunder/wind/chill etc it only went and rained on St Swithins day! So that's another 40 days of rain to look forward to then.... Well at least my Busy Lizzies like it!

So thanks to you all who shared your lovely creations with us last week, I almost needed to wear a Mac! There was water everywhere. Now I know lots of people think of a 'thinking of you' as a sympathy card. I think (there I go again thinking) that it can be for a number of reasons. I like to put that kind of sentiment on a 'get well' card, or if you just want to let a friend know they're in your thoughts and you want to say hello. Summmerrr timmmmeee and the livin' is eassssyyyyy, Yay! Sorry for the singing there folks but hey its summer! I mean we've not had one for years! Or is just that it seems that way? I know we could do with a drop of the wet stuff...(more of that later) but if that could just come at night time... OK?
